Vintage EIFFEL TOWER Paris Pisa Italy Cotton ROBARRE Novelty Retro Fabric

ParisFabricBlog

A sweet vintage novelty European vacation print by Robarre Fabrics in greens and orange on a white background. Appears to be a soft cotton or cotton blend…smooth with those great retro graphics. Measures 42″ long by 45″ wide with a section that is 38″ by 20″ wide at one end. Plus two cut pieces that measure  over 25″ by 10″ each….altogether over 2 yards of amazing vintage fabric. The largest scenes  tend to be about 3″ across. This is a medium scale novelty print in the greens of the 1960s and 1970s.

This is one of a collection of vintage fabric pieces I found last month and am slowly getting listed. It’s Summer…time to get away from the computer for a little and enjoy a respite from eBay auctions. Sales slow down anyway so I am saving items for selling later when Fall arrives once again. It is time for listing vintage Summer clothes I’ve been hoarding all year and items that suit the Summer season. Vintage 1960s PLAYBOY CLUB Black Smoke Glass Ash Tray Bunny Key Mad Men Retro

Vintage 1960s PLAYBOY CLUB Black Smoke Glass Ash Tray Bunny Key Mad Men Retro

A vintage 1960’s black smoked glass ash tray from The Playboy Club. It features a Playboy Bunny in stockings, heels and long gloves holding out the key to the club. The ashtray measures 3 3/4″ across. It is 1/2″ high. I found this in one of the local thrift shops. It’s one of those pieces I wish could tell me more about its past but my imagination will have suffice. I do remember my favorite gray t-shirt with the Playboy bunny on it that I had when I was a teenager in the 1970s. It drove my Mother crazy. I found that shirt at a place called The Infinite Mushroom in Orlando, Florida. The name of the shop says it all….head shop. ~grin~ Click on the photo to go to my current eBay auction for more information and photos.

Vintage Gold Gilt Plaster Ornate Classic Architectural Wall Shelf Sconce Corbel

Vintage Gold Gilt Plaster Ornate Classic Architectural Wall Shelf Sconce Corbel

ONE gold plaster hanging wall shelf in nice shape considering its age. It still has the green sticky candle holding stuff on the top of the shelve with plenty of staying power left so things don’t fall off easily. You can clean it you want…it does come off. I’m a big fan of using the stuff to keep my arrangements from falling down when the wind blows. Or a door slams.

The shape is quite detailed with the curtain and tassel motif around the base of the shelf and a nice winged flame detail at the bottom. The piece has heavy wire loops embedded into the plaster for hanging. I have left the crude but effective wire that has been twisted into a hanger. No labels left. It measures 13″ tall by 8″ wide. 8 Vintage 1960s COUROC Owl Moon Lowball Bar Glasses 22K Gold Mad Men Mid Century Modern

8 Vintage 1960s COUROC Owl Moon Lowball Bar Glasses 22K Gold Mad Men Mid Century Modern

A couple of years ago the Couroc black tray in the owl and crescent moon design that matches these glasses turned up here in Franklin, NC. Last week I found this set of eight glasses also made by Couroc in Monterrey, CA in the 1960s. Too many of the vintage glasses I have found over the years are still packed in boxes. The set of gorgeous Russell Wright glasses that were the glasses I grew up using are sitting on a shelf in the garage. So these are listed on eBay for someone else to enjoy. I’ll keep my tray though! Vintage 1960s MORMON TEMPLE Souvenir Metal Building BERRY METALS Salt Lake City

Vintage 1960s MORMON TEMPLE Souvenir Metal Building BERRY METALS Salt Lake City

After years of collecting these souvenir metal buildings when I find them in thrift shops I’ve decided to thin the collection. This miniature version of the Mormon Temple in Salt Lake City was a recent find here in North Carolina and it was made by Berry Metals sometime in the 1960s according to what I’ve read. Nice detail and great heft. USA made. Click on the photo to go to my current eBay auction for more information and photos.
